Venus is a interventionist for the FRESH-LC study at CHEAR. She was born in Tijuana and raised in Chula Vista, CA. Venus received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and minors in education and special education at San Francisco State University. Venus also received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University and is currently in the Ph.D. program for Clinical Psychology. Before joining CHEAR, she provided therapeutic services in English and Spanish to individuals from adverse communities with problematic substance use, addiction, anger, anxiety, depression, PTSD, SI/SA, and self-esteem challenges. She enjoys listening to new music, reading books and manga, drawing, and traveling in her free time.
