Nicole is a first-year graduate student at the SDSU/UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology (Behavioral Medicine track). She graduated summa cum laude from Pepperdine University in 2017 with Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in Psychology and English. Prior to graduate school, Nicole worked as the Clinical Research Coordinator at the Biobehavioral Study of Eating and Weight Lab at Drexel University under the direction of Dr. Michael Lowe. Nicole’s research interests include the etiology of eating disorders, the biopsychosocial factors that coalesce to perpetuate eating pathology, and the design and implementation of effective early interventions for disordered eating and obesity. She is also interested in the physiological mechanisms implicated in long-term weight loss maintenance and weight suppression. In her free time, Nicole can be found cycling, paddle boarding, and playing the drums.
