Dr. Jesslyn Goldbaum is the program manager of the Binge Eating Disorder Intensive Day Treatment Programs at CHEAR. In addition to providing individual, group, and family therapy in the Intensive Day Treatment Programs, she is also a research interventionist on the CHARGE study. Jesslyn earned her PsyD in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. Jesslyn completed her clinical internship at Western Youth Services in Orange County and completed her dissertation exploring mental health and physical activity among Latino adults. Jesslyn’s clinical training includes medical stabilization of eating disorders within the Medical Behavioral Unit at Rady Children’s Hospital/ UCSD Eating Disorders Center for Treatment and Research Program. Jesslyn’s clinical and research interests include comorbidity of eating disorders and mood disorders, the effect of physical activity on mental health, trauma-informed care, mental health advocacy, and family-based treatment of obesity and eating disorders.
